LONDON (AP) Cornerback Byron Maxwell is inactive for the Miami Dolphins’ game against the New Orleans Saints at Wembley Stadium on Sunday after injuring a hamstring in the team’s walk-through the day before.

Maxwell will be replaced in the starting lineup by rookie Cordrea Tankersley Steelers Terrell Edmunds Jersey , a third-round draft pick out of Clemson who will be making his debut after being inactive the first two games.

Inside linebacker Lawrence Timmons is active and will start for the Dolphins after being reinstated from an indefinite suspension earlier in the week. Timmons said he was dealing with a personal matter when he unexpectedly left the Dolphins before their game at the Los Angeles Chargers two weeks ago.

JACKSONVILLE , Fla. (AP) Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan waited until the final few minutes to start celebrating.

Had he uncorked the champagne when the game was essentially over, Khan would have been drinking by halftime.

Blake Bortles threw three touchdowns passes , including two to seldom-used backup Jaydon Mickens, and the Jaguars clinched a playoff spot with a 45-7 drubbing of AFC South rival Houston on Sunday. Jacksonville’s seventh victory in its last eight games locked up the franchise’s first postseason berth since 2007.
Article continues below ...
”It’s a story of perseverance,” Khan said .

Once the NFL’s poster child for futility and a punchline for potential relocation, the Jaguars (10-4) are now one of the league’s top turnarounds.

The injury-riddled Texans (4-10) have dropped four in a row and seven of eight.

”They can smell the playoffs,” Houston receiver DeAndre Hopkins said. ”You can tell that by the way they played. That’s what you play for: playoff football. You play this game to win the ultimate goal. When you don’t get there, what you did is not good.”

Bortles finished with a season-high 326 yards and the best QB rating (143.8) of his career. He did it without receivers Allen Robinson , Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee.

With Robinson (knee) on injured reserve, Hurns (ankle) inactive and Lee (ankle) in the locker room, Mickens and rookie Keelan Cole stepped up. Mickens caught four passes for 61 yards and two scores . Cole had seven receptions for a career-high 186 yards and a TD.

Mickens disclosed earlier this week that he slept in his car outside the facility at night to save money, not knowing how long he would remain in town.

Now, he and teammates will be getting playoff checks.

”It’s kind of cool that we solidified our spot,” Jaguars defensive tackle Malik Jackson said. ”Now we can get over the giddiness of it. … It’s cool to be where we are, but we’re not done yet.”

That’s a huge change for Jacksonville, which was an NFL-worst 22-74 over the previous six years and widely considered more of a laughingstock than a postseason contender.

Khan fired coach Gus Bradley one year ago Sunday Raiders Nick Nelson Jersey , following a close loss at Houston. Khan hired Tom Coughlin to oversee football decisions and made interim Doug Marrone the head coach. Coughlin and Marrone added several key players and changed the culture with a grueling offseason and training camp.

The Jags got off to an up-and-down start, but have hit their stride down the stretch.

Bortles has been better than expected of late, with seven touchdown passes and no turnovers the last three games.

”Blake’s killing it,” Jackson said. ”I’m just glad he’s been able to turn it around. I’m glad he’s doing what we knew he could do, and I’m glad he’s proving to himself that he can do it. He chose one hell of a year to pick it up.”

With Bortles picking apart Houston’s secondary, the Jaguars didn’t even need running back Leonard Fournette. The rookie was inactive because of a sore right quadriceps muscle.

Jacksonville’s defense, which has been the glue all season, was dominant again. The unit held Houston to 186 yards.

The Jags led 31-0 at the break Rams John Kelly Jersey , their largest halftime lead in team history.

”It was very satisfying,” defensive tackle Calais Campbell said.

The Texans looked lost in every aspect. They did little on offense outside Hopkins’ 25-yard TD catch against Jalen Ramsey and did even less to slow down Jacksonville.

T.J. Yates, making his first start since 2015, was mostly ineffective in place of Tom Savage (concussion). Yates completed 12 of 31 passes for 128 yards, with the TD and an interception.

”It’s embarrassing, and you never want to get beat like that,” said linebacker/defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, who also called Bortles ”trash” in the locker room. ”It’s embarrassing for the whole organization.”

The Texans could have run out the clock trailing 24-0 late in the first half Cheap Julian Edelman Jersey , but with 53 seconds remaining and three timeouts, coach Bill O’Brien decided to try to get something going. Yates threw an interception, and the Jaguars scored three plays later.

”I just felt we had to try and make a move,” O’Brien said. ”The issue is you can’t run it. You have to throw it. We did, and it didn’t work out.”

Texans: Center Nick Martin (ankle) and right guard Jeff Allen (concussion) left in the second half. Linebacker Benardrick McKinney injured a shoulder making a touchdown-saving tackle on a punt return.

Jaguars: Lee injured his right ankle in the first quarter and was later ruled out. Ramsey (groin), defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. (hamstring) and safety Peyton Thompson (foot) left the game but later returned.

Texans: Host Pittsburgh next Monday in the team’s home finale.

Jaguars: Play at San Francisco on Sunday.

ENGLEWOOD Cheap Rashaan Gaulden Jersey , Colo. (AP) The defending champion New England Patriots wouldn’t seem like an ideal elixir for a team that’s lost its way along with four consecutive games.

The Patriots, though, have long been the Denver Broncos’ best barometer.

”We’ve had a tough stretch here, so the perfect cure is to play a team like this,” coach Vance Joseph said after listing 14 players on his injury report Wednesday. ”I mean, it’s the best of the best. So, for us to get our good feeling back it’s the perfect opponent, on national TV , so I’m very excited for Sunday night.”
Article continues below ...
Despite a rash of injuries to key players, the Patriots (6-2) behind Tom Brady and Bill Belichick come to Colorado planted on their customary perch atop the AFC East.

Behind a porous O-line and sloppy quarterback play, the Broncos (3-5) are adrift under their rookie head coach and mired in a four-week funk in which they’ve been outscored by an average of 31-13.

”The best time to turn it around is against a team like this that’s not going to beat themselves,” Broncos running back C.J. Anderson said. ”They’re going to be very disciplined, very detailed and focused on their jobs and we can definitely take something from that.”

John Elway has measured his team’s success against the Patriots both on and off the football field since taking over as head of football operations in 2011.

Either the Patriots or Broncos have earned the AFC’s top playoff seed in all six seasons since then with the Patriots winning three conference championships and two Super Bowls and the Broncos winning two AFC titles and one Super Bowl.

In his first season in Denver, Elway watched Belichick and Brady twice school Tim Tebow, convincing him he had to make a play for Peyton Manning in free agency.

After a loss at New England in Week 5 dropped Manning to 2-3 in his comeback season, the Broncos reeled off 11 straight wins before Rahim Moore’s blunder led to a double-overtime loss to Baltimore in the playoffs.

In 2013 , an overtime loss at Foxborough sparked Denver’s Super Bowl run that included a 26-16 win over New England in the conference championship.

The Patriots’ trips to Colorado the last two regular seasons also served as harbingers for the Broncos’ playoffs hopes.

Brock Osweiler , who will be under center again Sunday night, replaced an injured Manning on Nov. 29, 2015, and led Denver’s comeback in a snowy 30-24 overtime win.

Manning was back starting two months later when the Broncos again hosted the Patriots and battered Brady in a 20-18 win that propelled Denver to its third Super Bowl title.

Manning called it a career a month later and Osweiler bolted to Houston, leaving Trevor Siemian to win the quarterback job.

He wasn’t up to the task when the Patriots visited Denver last year and Denver’s defense limited Brady to 16 completions and the Patriots to 16 points but the Broncos managed a mere field goal.

When Gary Kubiak asked afterward if anyone had anything to say, tackle Russell Okung rose and was shouted down by Aqib Talib, the fissure between the team’s all-star defense and anemic offense erupting in hot-tempered fury.

The Broncos were eliminated from the playoff race a week later and Kubiak decided to step down for health reasons. So Cheap Josh Allen Jersey , while Brady and Belichick were on their way to their fifth Super Bowl triumph, Elway was conducting his third coaching search in four years.

At 40, Brady remains as good as ever despite losing Julian Edelman and Malcom Mitchell to knee injuries.

Osweiler returned to Denver after an 18-month odyssey that included Houston’s hard-fought 34-16 loss to Brady in the playoffs.

A dozen turnovers sent Siemian to the bench last week and Joseph decided to stick with Osweiler this week despite his pair of interceptions that led to touchdowns in Denver’s 51-23 flop at Philadelphia.

”I don’t expect them to play like that against us,” Patriots running back James White said. ”Every time we play them, it’s a four-quarter football game, not very high-scoring.”

Brady is seeking just his fourth win in 11 trips to Denver.

”There’s little margin of error when you go out there,” Brady said. ”We’re going to have to play good. They have a great defense. They have great players on both sides of the ball. You can’t go out there and make a bunch of mistakes and expect to win.”

Desperate to save their season, these Broncos are as tough a challenge as the ones that were always jockeying with the Patriots for the AFC’s top playoff seed Cheap David Harris Jersey , Brady said.Obrazek

”You learn a lot from losses,” Brady said, ”and everyone wants to get the bad taste out of their mouth.”

BOSTON (AP) Martellus Bennett didn’t think he’d play football again this season after his unexpected and contentious exit from the Green Bay Packers last week.

The way he tells it Bengals Logan Woodside Jersey , he was contemplating taking a desk job or maybe even doing something with Netflix in the hours after he was cut by the Green Bay Packers for what they said was ”failing to disclose a physical condition.”

”I was just sitting on a bean bag, literally feeling sorry for myself,” Bennett said of his disagreement with the Packers’ medical staff over a shoulder injury.
Article continues below ...
When the Packers decided to let him go, he had a decision to make. After having a few telephone conversations with Patriots coach Bill Belichick about the state of his shoulder, New England picked him up off waivers. Following some quick soul searching, Bennett decided to play through his injury.

”It was one of those things I felt I should get fixed and then after deciding to get it fixed and getting waived Chiefs Dorian O'Daniel Jersey , you’ve got that vengeance in your heart and you’re just like `All right, are you going to do it?’ OK, let’s go ball,” Bennett said.

Bennett said in a post Friday on Instagram that the Packers examined his shoulder when he signed a three-year, $21 million free agent contract with them in March that included a $6.3 million signing bonus.

But Bennett contends his shoulder got progressively worse during the season and that he asked to have it checked after the 35-31 win on Oct. 8 against the Dallas Cowboys. The 30-year-old tight end says he wanted to opt for surgery, but that the team physician was pushing him to play.

”It wasn’t where I was Cheap Luke Falk Jersey , it was about the injury. It was one of those things where I talked to six or seven doctors about it and it could go either way,” he said.

After spending just a day on the waiver wire, he finds himself back with the team he won a Super Bowl with last season.

And just like last season, he could soon find himself playing a vital role for a team in mix for a second straight championship run.

Despite having just two days to prepare after arriving in New England, Bennett was active in Sunday’s 41-16 win over the Denver Broncos, catching three passes for 38 yards. He had 24 catches for 233 yards in seven games with the Packers.

His addition came at a good time for a New England offense that had gotten little out of the tight end position this season beyond Rob Gronkowski.

Dwayne Allen , whom the Patriots traded for in the offseason to replace Bennett, didn’t have a catch in his first seven games. Allen caught his first pass off the season – an 11-yard touchdown – against Denver.

Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said that Bennett is taking on the challenge of getting re-acclimated to his former team as it prepares for Sunday’s matchup with the Raiders in Mexico City.

”Marty had a good foundation from last season being here. He’s a smart guy, so it hasn’t taken him long,” McDaniels said. ”He’s working hard at it. He’s studying. He studied hard just to be able to contribute some the other night, and he’s doing the same thing this week.”

Bennett said being back in New England’s locker room has helped him compartmentalize his feelings about how his brief tenure with Green Bay ended.
”I don’t even know if I went through the seven stages of grief yet,” Bennett said. ”I’m probably on step three Eagles Dallas Goedert Jersey , but I think the group of guys on this team couldn’t be a better place for me in what I’m going through right now and my situation.”

The performance of Adidas has continued to be higher than its competitors. Its revenue and profit in the third quarter of 2012 showed a substantial growth. However , Rebook Company that was its American subsidiary company encountered the problem, so it ranked only second to Nike's second biggest sports brand. Adidas Company cut the expected value of its turnover this year down. Because after the fraud case, it required to supply Rebook India company's restructuring with financial support. Adidas expected that in the fourth quarter, it will fall into deficit.
But the group's president called Herbert Hainer expected, in the next year Cheap Brandin Cooks Jersey , the company's turnover and profit will break a record just like that in 2012. On Thursday (November 8), Adidas group announced that from June to September this year, the group's surplus rose fourteen percent and reached to 344 million euros. The turnover rose eleven percent and reached to 4.2 billion euros. And this realized the market expectation before. An analyst has been interviewed by Reuters, and it was expected by him before that the average turnover in the third quarter of Adidas group will be 4.15 billion euros and the net earnings will reach to 335 million euros.
The exclusive shop retail was the main factor that promoted the rising performance of Adidas group in the third quarter. There was almost no growth to the wholesale business. There was a respective ten percent increase on the turnover of Adidas in eastern Europe, China and Latin America after the exchange rate's adjustment Cheap Mike Hughes Jersey , and the increase was the largest. But Reebok's performance fell by as much as twenty-five percent. North American market, therefore, showed an overall decrease. Compared with Nike and Puma, Adidas's performance developed best. Although Nike group appeared a strong growth, the entirety and products' turnover decreased.

PITTSBURGH (AP) The Colts in Indianapolis. Then the Titans at home on Thursday night.

That’s it.

That’s as much of his team’s schedule that Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier has allowed himself to memorize.
Article continues below ...
No looking down the road. Shazier stopped playing the ”if we do this Cheap Kareem Martin Jersey , then we do that” thing a while ago. Call it the residue of too many Sundays stumbling when the Steelers expected to sprint, a lesson the AFC North leaders are relentlessly reminding themselves of heading into a second half that doesn’t look nearly as daunting in November as it did in August.

”Honestly I think everybody’s focused right now on winning the games that we have,” Shazier said Thursday. ”They see that if we overlook stuff, we let it slip away.”

Pittsburgh (6-2) insists it has grown up enough to avoid the traps that have popped up in recent years. The Steelers should get plenty of chances to prove it over the next eight weeks as they prepare to face just two teams currently with winning records and a steady stream of backup quarterbacks starting on Sunday against Jacoby Brissett and the Colts (3-6).

Brissett has played in all of 10 NFL games. Brett Hundley, who comes to Heinz Field on the last Sunday in November with the Green Bay Packers, has started just two.

Who knows who’s going to be under center for Houston on Christmas Day Cheap Martinas Rankin Jersey , though it won’t be rookie DeShaun Watson, out for the season with a knee injury.

The Steelers figure to be favored in seven of their final eight, putting them in prime position to claim home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs if they stay healthy and on task.

”I’ve always felt like I’ve been in the driver’s seat,” coach Mike Tomlin said. ”That’s just my mentality even when I’m in the backseat.”

Which Pittsburgh is decidedly not.

Yet the Steelers are taking pains to not get ahead of themselves. Their two losses this season came against teams quarterbacked by Mike Glennon and Blake Bortles, reminders of what can happen if they lose focus.

”In the NFL, every week is hard Cheap Christian Kirk Jersey ,” defensive coordinator Keith Butler said. ”Ain’t no patsies and we got to treat it that way. We’ve got to approach it that way and I think our guys, hopefully we will.”

Brissett is the sixth starting quarterback Indianapolis will send out to face the Steelers in the past six meetings between the two. He’s getting comfortable in his new gig with the Colts, throwing for 308 yards and two touchdowns in a victory over the Texans last week. Still, the resume doesn’t exactly compare with the man he’s replacing: Andrew Luck.

That can put Butler in a tight spot. Brissett is still learning on the job. Figuring out what he can’t do – and then trying to exploit it – can be difficult compared to players such as Luck who have years of experience and a lengthy dossier on strengths and weaknesses.

”It’s tough to point out (his specific) talents, but you know they’ve got to run the scheme of their team,” cornerback Artie Burns said. ”They still got to run the plays all the team runs. We just got to adjust to the person.”

Something the Steelers used to do as well as any team in the league. There was a stretch where they were nearly unbeatable against young quarterbacks.

Things have evened out in recent years.

Philadelphia’s Carson Wentz and Dallas’ Dak Prescott were rookies last fall when they beat Pittsburgh.

So the Steelers insist they’re honing in on Brissett and no one else Cheap Harrison Phillips Jersey , even with Mariota and the intriguing if uneven Titans looming next Thursday.

Still, human nature is human nature.

While first-year defensive back Mike Hilton is doing his best to adopt the ”week to week” approach preached relentlessly by the veterans, some games do stick out on the schedule.

The former Mississippi cornerback used to memorize when the Rebels would play Alabama and Mississippi State the second the schedule came out.

Though he doesn’t have Pittsburgh’s final eight games down pat, he’s well aware of when Tom Brady and the Super Bowl champion Patriots visit Heinz Field, a game that could – emphasis on could – determine home-field advantage in the AFC.

”I do: December 17th,” Hilton said with a laugh. ”That’s a factor right there. I’m looking forward to that game. I’m not overlooking anybody , but I’m excited about that game.”Obrazek

NOTES: S Mike Mitchell (Achilles) was limited on Thursday. If he can’t go, J.J. Wilcox will start in his place. … LB James Harrison (back) did not practice for a second straight day.

ATLANTA (AP) Atlanta’s new $1.6 billion stadium – home to the NFL’s Falcons and the city’s hugely popular pro soccer team – has successfully risen Cheap Paul Worrilow Jersey , despite a series of construction delays over its complex retractable roof.

Now, the dome next door that Mercedes-Benz Stadium was built to replace will soon be brought down with explosives.

The Georgia Dome, with its history of hosting major sporting events and concerts since its 1992 debut, is set to be imploded Monday morning.
Article continues below ...
Several streets and parts of Atlanta’s transit system will close, police said, as many of the city’s residents watch the blast against the early-morning sky. The city’s tallest hotel, the 73-story Westin Peachtree Plaza with a view of the dome Rams Brian Allen Jersey , even plans a ”Georgia Dome implosion party” in its restaurant and bar near the very top.

In addition to the retractable roof that opens like a camera lens, Mercedes-Benz Stadium boasts a 1,100-foot ”halo board” video display and a giant steel sculpture of a falcon with its 70-foot wingspan at one of the main entrances.

The idea for the Georgia Dome dates to the mid-1980s, when civic leaders recommended a domed football stadium adjoining the city’s largest convention center, the Georgia World Congress Center.

Rankin M. Smith Sr., who owned the Falcons at the time, discussed having the team play in the dome but also various other options such as building an open-air stadium in Atlanta’s northeastern suburbs 30 miles from downtown and even moving the franchise to Jacksonville Cheap Derrick Nnadi Jersey , Florida.

In the fall of 1987, a brochure envisioned the future ”Georgia Dome” as the new home of the Falcons and a possible site for the Super Bowl, NCAA basketball tournament, Peach Bowl, high school football playoffs and even tractor pulls.

The dome hosted those, and many more.

It was the site of high school football state championships, Peach Bowls , SEC championship games, two Super Bowls, 1996 Olympic basketball, three Final Four NCAA basketball tournaments, concerts, pro wrestling and other events.

Now, Mercedes-Benz Stadium will host this season’s College Football Playoff championship game Cheap Nate Solder Jersey , the Super Bowl in 2019 and the Final Four in 2020.
It can hold about 71,000 fans for Falcons games, and it already set records for selling more than 70,000 tickets for a couple of Atlanta United home soccer games.

The stadium was originally set to open in March, but that was pushed back multiple times as engineers struggled to finish the roof.

The stadium finally opened Aug. 26 with a Falcons’ pre-season game against the Arizona Cardinals.

ORLANDO Bengals Cordy Glenn Jersey , Fla. (AP) Andrew Luck is throwing footballs again.

Indianapolis Colts coach Frank Reich said Tuesday that Luck has begun to throw as part of the rehab for his surgically repaired shoulder. Luck missed the entire 2017 season because of the injury.

Reich said he hasn’t seen Luck in action yet, but the franchise quarterback is clearly making progress after spending time in California working with quarterback mechanics gurus Tom House and Adam Dedeaux.
Article continues below ...
Luck led the Colts to 11 wins in each of his first three seasons and went to the Pro Bowl three times. He has missed 26 games in the past three seasons and Indianapolis hasn’t reached the playoffs since losing the AFC championship ”Deflategate” game to New England in January 2015.

Luck is expected to participate when the Colts begin their workout program April 9.

Reich was the offensive coordinator for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles last season and helped Carson Wentz develop into an MVP candidate before he went down with a torn ACL. Backup Nick Foles stepped in and was sensational in the playoffs, earning Super Bowl MVP honors.

Reich Cheap Patrick Chung Jersey , who got the Colts job when Josh McDaniels backed out to return to New England as offensive coordinator, is excited to work with Luck, one of the NFL’s elite QBs when healthy. Reich spoke at his first league meetings as a head coach since replacing Chuck Pagano.

The Colts were 4-12 last season but Reich saw the Eagles go from last place in 2016 to Super Bowl champs.

”No one is playing for second place Cheap Johnny Townsend Jersey ,” Reich said. ”We’re not playing to just improve. We’re playing for championships. I’m not being paid (for rebuilding). There’s not one ounce of me that’s being patient. There’s not one ounce of me that thinks we’re in a rebuilding project. Every ounce of me feels like we’re winning this year. We were 4-12 last year. That can turn around with a few breaks, staying healthy, a few more players and we can get it done.”

The Colts will need Luck healthy to compete in the AFC South.

Indianapolis made a big trade with the New York Jets to potentially add talented players who can contribute right away. The Colts moved down just three spots , from No. 3 to No. 6 overall in the draft, and acquired two second-round picks this year and one in 2019.

Don’t expect them to draft one of the top quarterbacks in the draft class: Sam Darnold, Josh Allen Cheap Dwayne Allen Jersey , Josh Rosen and Baker Mayfield.
”I think it’s the best class I’ve ever seen,” Reich joked. ”They should go 1-2-3-4.”

PITTSBURGH (AP) Like any defensive coordinator worth his gameplan Cheap Da'Ron Payne Jersey , Keith Butler knew what was coming.

So when the man in charge of getting the Pittsburgh Steelers in the right spots approached reporters on Thursday for his weekly chat, Butler decided to blitz.

”The run defense sucked,” Butler drawled.
Article continues below ...
Kinda. Well, maybe more than kinda. After keeping opponents in check during a 2-0 start, the Steelers melted in the 90-degree heat at Soldier Field last weekend, allowing 220 yards on the ground in a stunning 23-17 overtime loss to Chicago.

The final 74 came on the lone possession of the extra period, as the Bears needed just four snaps to sap all of Pittsburgh’s early season momentum.

Chicago didn’t run some sort of complicated blocking scheme.

Instead they just ran the same basic plays over and over, pitching it to Jordan Howard or Tarik Cohen and letting the offensive line and their two talented backs do the rest while the Steelers kept bouncing off. That’s if the Steelers managed to get a handle on the Bears at all.

”It’s demoralizing Cheap Rex Burkhead Jersey ,” Bud Dupree said. ”It hurts us a whole, our pride. That’s the main thing it does, take your pride.”

It also served as a ”back to reality” moment for a group that allowed just 148 yards on the ground through the first two games combined.

Defensive end Cam Heyward snarled ”91 yards is too much” while keeping Minnesota rookie Dalvin Cook largely in check during a Week 2 victory over the Vikings.

The Steelers gave up more than double that against the Bears, allowing Chicago to win on a day Bears quarterback Mike Glennon threw for just 101 yards.

Then again, the way Howard and Cohen were gashing Pittsburgh’s front seven, there really was no need for Glennon to chuck it any more than he had to.

”We got to learn from those mistakes, simple as that,” Heyward said. ”We’re going to get challenged with the same stuff again this week. You never want to give up 100 yards and you never want to give up 200 yards. So now we got to answer for it and we look forward to doing that.”

Good thing Giants Nate Solder Jersey , because Baltimore (2-1) figures to throw more of the same on Sunday. The Ravens have gone over 130 yards rushing in each of their first three games, including a lopsided blowout loss to Jacksonville last week in London.

While the Bears use two backs, the Ravens rotate between three, with Terrance West, Javorius Allen and Alex Collins all averaging at least eight carries.

The Steelers hope the return of defensive end Stephon Tuitt and linebacker T.J. Watt – both of whom were on the sideline in Chicago in shorts because of injuries – will help. Tuitt and Watt practiced on Thursday and are expected to play.

It will take more than Tuitt and Watt to fix the mistakes that kept popping up against Chicago, when Pittsburgh either over-pursued, took poor angles or giving into the lure of a highlight-reel hit when the situation called for a more pragmatic approach.

”Instead of, during the game , thinking `I’ve got to go kill-shot somebody,’ you got to say, `Hey, you can kill-shot somebody and wrap up at the same time’ instead of going after someone with a full head of steam with nothing but shoulders and head because you think you’re going to knock them down,” Dupree said.

The examples were too numerous to count. Dupree tried to drill Howard for a loss, didn’t get Howard to the ground and Howard squirted loose for a first down.

On the winning touchdown, middle linebacker Ryan Shazier also lost containment several times and over pursued on Howard’s game-winning 19-yard touchdown run , diving at Howard’s feet in vain as Howard sprinted to the end zone.

Even as the Steelers kept getting pushed around Cheap Pernell McPhee Jersey , linebacker James Harrison remained on the sideline. He only saw the field for a handful of snaps despite being one of the better run-stopping outside linebackers in the league during his lengthy career.

Coach Mike Tomlin declined to get into specifics when asked why Harrison was again a minimal part of the plan.

”I’m not singling out any position, and I think a discussion about his participation or non-participation does that,” Tomlin said. ”I don’t want to lead perception in any wild directions. Perception has been led in enough wild directions in recent days, hasn’t it?”

Tomlin was talking about the controversy surrounding his team’s decision to remain in the tunnel during the national anthem in Chicago.

That chaos has died down a bit. Now it’s back to more basic concerns, namely proving that the struggles in Chicago – and not the solid performances in Weeks 1 and 2 – is the anomaly.

”We’re gonna change things up too,” Butler said. ”We’re not going to set up in the same thing that got us beat.”

NOTES: RB Le’Veon Bell returned to practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday while tending to a personal matter. … WR Martavis Bryant (illness) and G Ramon Foster (thumb) did not practice. … Dupree (shoulder) and TE Jesse James (shoulder) were limited.
